Welcome to an unforgettable autumn experience on the historical grounds around Hoberg, Skäckerfjällen in Åre municipality – a place where hunting tradition and history meet in the Jämtland wilderness.
During the best hunting weeks of autumn, we offer an exclusive package where grouse hunting with treeing dogs is combined with fishing in mountain waters. You will stay comfortably at Kolåsens fjällhotell with full board. Here, we hunt and fish on private, mountain-near forests and lakes in the middle of the wilderness. The farm has a unique and exciting history… English merchants hunted and fished here during their travels to Jämtland in the 1800s.
After long days of hunting in the forest, you can relax with a wood-fired sauna down by the lake before we enjoy a lovely three-course dinner together. You will stay in multi-bed rooms in Luckstugan. There are 8 beds divided into three rooms. Toilet and shower are in a separate building.
Package incl. in the price:
- Two days of hunting with bird dog and hunting guide
- Fishing license and fishing guide
- All meals
- Three nights at Hoberg in multi-bed rooms
- Local shooting license
- Bed linen and towels
Package Days:
- Day 1: Guests arrive at Kolåsen Mountain Hotel in the afternoon, where we will meet you to continue approx. 45 minutes to the Hoberg farm. A mountain drink with snacks is offered upon arrival. The evening ends with a joint dinner.
- Day 2-3: Breakfast. The guests prepare a light packed lunch from the breakfast to take with them in their backpacks. You will meet your guide at Hoberg and drive a short distance or go out on the land directly from the farm to start your bird hunting. We hunt through the morning with a break for packed lunch and boiled coffee, which we enjoy in the forest if the weather permits. After the end of the hunting day, there is time for fishing in the fine ponds out on the land or in Lake Torrön by the farm. Own activities and rest before dinner.
- Day 4: After a good morning’s sleep, you spend the morning as you wish, picking mushrooms or berries or just enjoying nature. We leave Hoberg no later than 11:00 and everyone returns to their respective home destination.
