Then tree-top grouse hunting is for you! We arrange tree-top grouse hunting on fine grounds in a couple of different areas in Jämtland. Choose between full or half board. The packages include hunting licenses and accommodation. You hunt with or without a guide.
Galhammar: (1600 ha), about 1 hour’s drive from Östersund. Purchase a day pass or use the hunting lodge located in the middle of the grounds. Accommodation can also be arranged in Åsarna, about 20 km from the grounds.
Västra Vågen; (3500 ha), about 1 hour from Östersund. Guided hunting only. Choose to stay in a simple cabin on the grounds or at Värdshuset Wången, about 20 km from the hunting grounds.
Bodsjöbränna: (750 ha), 20 km from Åre lies this easily accessible private ground. Accommodation is available right next to the grounds with a real kitchen, shower and toilet. Here you will primarily find black grouse and ptarmigan.

Setup
- DAY 1: Your guide will meet you in the afternoon/evening at your accommodation. You will have dinner together and go through the weekend’s hunt.
- DAY 2-3: You make your own light packed lunch from breakfast and bring it with you in your own backpacks. Your guide will meet you at your accommodation at 9:00 AM and take you out hunting for birds in the treetops. Weather, interest and hunting luck determine how long you hunt during the day. You will have dinner in your accommodation in the evening, which you prepare yourself or by your guide.
- DAY 4: After a lie-in and tidying up the cabin, departure home to respective home destinations.
