Tree-top grouse hunting in Hoberg – legendary grounds in Jämtland – for those who enjoy winter and a physical challenge on skis.
Here we can offer real wilderness hunting for tree-top grouse for you and your companions on legendary grounds. The hunt: You will hunt on 3300 hectares of private land that is completely secluded, right at the foot of Hobergsvålen next to Lake Torrön. The land stretches from lake to mountain, surrounded by beautiful mountain-near forest.
Hunting has been very sparse here throughout the ages. The land is historic; it was to these hunting grounds and fishing waters that Winston Churchill traveled when he visited Jämtland in the late 1800s.
You can enter the land with your own snowmobile or ski in (approx. 1.5 miles). You are also offered snowmobile transport out into the land T/R from Kolåsen mountain hotel for a fee.
Accommodation: Stay comfortably at Kolåsen Mountain Hotel or in cabins next to Kolåsen or Åbränna, which Joy Event provides. Lodging in Luckstugan on Hoberg in winter: email for a quote.
